Please Note: The Growing Stage Theatre is located in northwestern New Jersey and no regular mass transportation is available. As per The Growing Stage’s Health & Safety Policy, all performers must be fully vaccinated to participate in this production. The Growing Stage staff is fully vaccinated as well.

MRS. PINKERTON – (Adult) Pinkalicious’s mother who learns to be less rigid and less busy by finding her inner girl and enjoying sweets
DR. WINK/ALISON – (Adult) Pinkalisious’s pediatrician, this actress also doubles Pinkalicious’s friend, Alison, who learns that the grass is not always greener on the other side
PETER – (Adult) Pinkalicious’s brother who secretly desires to enjoy pink like his sister and to express himself creatively
Seeking a cast size of 6-10 young performers for the Cupcake Chorus.
*Please note, the roles of PINKALICIOUS and MR. PINKERTON have already been cast. Adult performers will be compensated on either our Emerging Artist (no rehearsal pay / $45 per performance) or Professional Artist ($15 per rehearsal hour / $85 per performance) pay schedules.
Preparation:
Open call, no appointment required. All auditioners should prepare a 16-32 bar selection of a song of their choice. Please bring marked piano sheet music of the song for the accompanist. Adults may be asked to cold read sides from the script.
Auditions will also include a dance piece led by the choreographer. Please wear dance shoes or sneakers, no boots or sandals.
Please bring a headshot (or current photo) and resume, if applicable.
Please Note: Masks must be worn by all participants while inside the theatre.
Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsal schedules are generally two or three evenings during the week and a weekend afternoon. All cast members are expected for all performances, with no exception since the company does not cast understudies.

Friday, March 18th at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 19th, 26th, April 2nd, 9th at 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 20th, 27th, April 3rd, 10th at 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, March 23rd & April 6th at 10am*
*Additional school performances may be added to the schedule at a later time. Any cast member under 18 (Cupcake Chorus) will not be asked to perform during a school performance.

Based on the popular book by Victoria Kann and Elizabeth Kann, this is the tale of Pinkalicious, who can’t stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor’s office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe–a dream come true for this pink-loving enthusiast.
