Upcoming Auditions: BOOGIE

Date: Tuesday, January 18th at 7:00 PM 

Auditions will be held in-person at The Historic Palace Theatre – 7 Ledgewood Ave., Route 183, Netcong, NJ

Seeking:

The Growing Stage celebrates and encourages diversity in the casting of all of our productions. 

There will be four paid Non-Union roles available (two male, two female) for adult artists and two community artist roles (both female) that will be filled by young people aged 10 to 16.

*Also seeking experienced Non-Union stage managers to apply for available positions.

Please Note: As per The Growing Stage’s Health & Safety Policy, all performers/crew/staff must show proof of vaccination.

Preparation:

Open call, no appointment required. All auditioning will be reading from the script.

Please Note: Masks must be worn by all participants while inside the theatre.

Rehearsal Schedule:

Rehearsal schedules are generally two or three evenings during the week, and a weekend afternoon.  All cast members are expected for all performances, with no exception since the company does not cast understudies.

Please Note: The Growing Stage Theatre is located in northwestern New Jersey and no regular mass transportation is available. Own transportation is strongly recommended.

Performance Schedule:

Production runs February 18th, 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th with performances on Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.

The 2020 New Play Reading Festival Laurie Award-winning play. Not being able to sleep due to nightmares, Alex attempts to put an end to them once they discover the Boogeyman is the cause. However, after meeting this famous monster, Alex learns the truth about fears and that it’s okay to be afraid because fears are just a part of us.

The Growing Stage is a professional theatre dedicated to presenting quality theatre for the entire family.

Ticketing System

  • Main Stage Performances are normally Saturdays at 4:00PM and Sunday at 2:00PM. Friday performances are on a limited basis at 7:30pm.
  • Studio Series Performances: Thursday/Friday at 7:30PM, Saturday at 4:00PM and Sunday at 2:00PM.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Local Flavor Coupons and Groupons cannot be redeemed online.  You must call the Box Office to reserve and redeem. Box Office is open daily Monday thru Friday from 10:30am to 3:00pm. Please call at least 24 hours prior to redeem.
  • Seating begins 30 minutes prior to each performance. If you select Will Call as your ticket delivery method, your tickets will be available for pick up starting an hour prior to the performance.
  • Seating is general admission except for season ticket holders and groups of 10 or more.
  • Sales are final and no refunds will be given unless the performance is cancelled. If you are unable to attend, please contact the Box Office and we will do our best to accommodate you at a different performance based on availability.
  • Concessions will be available for sale before the performance and during intermission. Outside food and drink is not allowed.
  • Parking is available in the bank parking lot next to the theatre (when the bank is closed), the park lot behind the bank lot, and on the surrounding streets. If needed, overflow parking is available at the Methodist Church down the street.
