Please Note: The Growing Stage Theatre is located in northwestern New Jersey and no regular mass transportation is available. As per The Growing Stage’s Health & Safety Policy, all staff are fully vaccinated. All auditioning must be fully vaccinated in order to be considered for a role.

GRAND DAME – LANGWIDERE: An aging beauty
TYCOON – ROQUAT THE GNOME KING: Big business at its worst
DOROTHY: A sweet, innocent young lady with a streak of boldness, outspoken and headstrong
UNCLE HENRY: An elderly adventurer confined to a wheelchair
BILL, THE CHICKEN: Brass and bravado in a fowl form
NANDA: A harried housemaid
OZMA: An old soul in the body of a very young child
Ensemble roles:

Adult performers will be compensated on either our Emerging Artist (no rehearsal pay / $45 per performance) or Professional Artist ($15 per rehearsal hour / $85 per performance) pay schedules.
Preparation:
Open call, no appointment required. All auditioners should prepare a 16 bar selection of a song of their choice. Please bring marked piano sheet music of the song for the accompanist. Aditioners may be asked to cold read sides from the script.
Auditions will also include a dance piece led by the choreographer. Please wear dance shoes or sneakers, no boots or sandals. Please bring a headshot (or current photo) and resume, if applicable.
Rehearsal Schedule:
Rehearsal schedules are generally two or three evenings during the week and a weekend afternoon. All cast members are expected for all performances, with no exception since the company does not cast understudies.

Saturday, May 7th, 14th, and 21st at 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 8th, 15th, and 22nd at 2:00 p.m.

Time Again in Oz is a spellbinding voyage to the magical world created by L. Frank Baum. From its dramatic shipwreck beginning, to Dorothy and her aging invalid Uncle Henry’s encounters with Ozma of Oz, Roquat the Gnome King, an army on roller skates and a time twisting Tic-Toc man, this fantastic adventure explores our relationship to time and each other.
