Let’s Get Started!

Let’s start by watching the trailer of our 2019 production of MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS!

Penguins sliding, penguins gliding, flying through the sea. Some are dancing, some are prancing, filling us with glee. Oh, how we long for a day where we can say “I spy adorable penguins at play!”
You need wait no more, as this week on TGS TV we feature two Growing Stage Productions whose main characters are Penguins! Whether performing tricks in the living room in Mr. Popper’s Penguins or making new friends at the Central Park Zoo in And Then Came Tango these elegant birds delight us all.

Found only in the Southern Hemisphere of our planet, there are 17 different species of penguins. The two species featured in our productions are the Chinstrap Penguin in And Then Came Tango and the Gentoo Penguin in Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

Help Us Continue to Offer Programs Like TGS TV:

The Growing Stage is 501-c-3 designated organization by the IRS and registered with the Office of the NJ Attorney General. Urgent contributions are needed to keep our limited programming flowing to the young people and families throughout northern New Jersey that depend on The Growing Stage – The Children’s Theatre of New Jersey. Funding will not only support the theatre’s efforts in keeping its staff employed and ensure that productions can resume as soon as possible for its artists – it allows for efforts such as this to be developed and sustained throughout this current health crisis. Help is needed, perhaps more than ever, to keep the creativity open to our families while the theatre doors are shut. As always, your consideration is appreciated.
