Students attending will learn all about the Broadway and film legends Bob Fosse® and Gwen Verdon who are  depicted in the FX series “Fosse/Verdon.” Come have fun with us and receive technique training, learn a popular Fosse dance, and have the opportunity to participate in a special question and answer session. About the instructor:

Stephanie Pope is a triple threat with years of impressive Broadway experience under her belt. She was hand picked by legendary director/choreographer Bob Fosse® and holds the distinctive title of being a true “Fosse Dancer.” Stephanie has performed Bob Fosse’s style and choreography on Broadway in productions such as PIPPIN for which she received an Astaire Award nomination, an ACCA Award, and the beloved Gypsy Robe, SWEET CHARITY, FOSSE, KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN, BIG DEAL, and most recently as Velma Kelly in CHICAGO. In addition to her Fosse® experience she has performed in Broadway shows such as THE WILL RODGER’S FOLLIES, JELLY’S LAST JAM, and A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.

The mission of The Verdon Fosse Legacy LLC is to promote, preserve, and protect the artistic and intellectual property of Bob Fosse® and Gwen Verdon.  Through their website and the Library of Congress website, The Verdon Fosse Legacy LLC wishes to foster and educate performers, directors and choreographers, as well as all scholars and students interested in American film and musical theatre. Additionally, the Verdon Fosse Legacy LLC oversees the licensing of Bob Fosse’s work for theatrical staging.
